About Christ Chapel

The mission of Christ Chapel is to be a visible expression of the love of Jesus in our local community and in the world at large. We are committed to a life together of worshiping God, nurturing others, and reaching out to those who don't yet know God personally. We are submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and shaped by the authority of the Bible.

We believe that understanding and applying God's Word is essential to a vital Christian life; therefore, we emphasize systematic Bible study and teaching in our meetings. Knowing what God has said and understanding why He said it provides the basis for all that we believe, and forms our fundamental values. These values are summarized by three concepts: Worship, Nurture, and Mission.

Beliefs

We are an interdenominational fellowship, meaning that people from all denominations, or no church background at all, are welcome. We expect to see unity in the midst of this diversity, therefore we encourage believers with different perspectives on doctrinal issues to share a common life in Christ. We recognize our responsibility to, "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace" (Eph. 4:3). We are committed to living out the statement: "In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity." As essentials…

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that in Jesus, God became a man who lived among humankind, died for the redemption of His creation and was raised bodily from the dead.

  • We believe that faith in this atoning work of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, is the only basis for salvation.

  • We believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit at work through His church, while we await the promised return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
