Ministry to Children
The children's ministry is led by a team of volunteer teachers who are called and gifted to lead children as they sing songs, hear a Scripture story and lesson for the day, play games, and work on crafts. They have a great time laughing, working and learning together.
Children ages 0-2
An infant nursery and toddler play rooms for children ages 0-2 are provided and staffed upstairs during the Sunday School hour and during the Sunday morning service for our youngest children. Nursing mothers who wish to sit with their babies are welcome in the infant nursery. There are also plans for a Nursing Mother's room off of the balcony of the main auditorium for use during the worship service (can you help with this?)
Children ages 3-5
Pre-School Fellowship for children ages 3-5 is offered concurrently with the Sunday morning service. The gathering place for these kids is located in a large room upstairs near the nursery area. This loosely structured time of fellowship and fun includes some free play, music and singing, stories from the Scriptures, crafts, games, and a snack. Age-appropriate material from Gospel Publishing House is used as a guide each week.
Children ages 6-10
Junior Fellowship is geared for school-aged kids from 6-10 years old. For the first 30 minutes or so of our gathering, these children stay with their parents in the main auditorium so that they are included in the worship as we praise, pray, and prepare our hearts to receive God's Word. At the close of our singing time and prior to the morning message, the Junior aged children are invited to participate in a Scripture lesson and activity time that's appropriate and interesting for them. The lessons taught come from material published by Gospel Light. (Note that children ages 11 and up remain with their parents during the entire Sunday morning service.)
