We firmly believe that the study of God's Word, the Bible, is essential for the continued health and growth of each individual's spiritual well-being. Therefore, an important part of our Sunday morning gathering is the examination of a passage of scripture from which practical lessons for living well are drawn. As the writer of Hebrews says, "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." As we look into the scriptures, our hearts are exposed to the working of the Holy Spirit and we are transformed more and more into the image of Christ. The instruction that we receive is not merely that of the speaker, but that of the Lord Himself as He speaks to our hearts through His Word!
